Maor Aharon

Industrial designer & material researcher, based in Tel Aviv-Yafo

Maor works at the meeting point of traditional craft, material research and self-built manufacturing — building custom machines, 3D printing, and developing his own material formulas to make one-of-a-kind furniture and lighting. Each object carries the story of how it was made through its function, color and texture.

His studio has operated in Tel Aviv-Yafo since 2015. His work has been shown at the Milan Triennale, Jerusalem Design Week, the London Design Fair, and Taiwan Designers' Week, and he was named Israel's Most Promising Designer by BVD Magazine in 2016.

Maor holds a B.Des in Industrial Design from the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT), where he later taught the second-year design studio course.
